Traceraft
Terms of Service
Last updated: May 18, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Traceraft website, application, and related services collectively referred to as the Service.
By accessing or using Traceraft, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. About Traceraft
Traceraft is a developer-focused service that allows users to create profiles, post development logs, manage writing or editor content, and build a public proof-of-work profile.
The Service may include free features and paid features. Paid features may include enhanced editor functions, version history, restore features, AI-assisted drafts, or other premium functions offered by Traceraft.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You may need to create or use an account to access certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate and current information when using the Service and to update such information as necessary.
You must not use another person’s account without permission or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, accounts, systems, or data.
3. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you create, upload, submit, publish, or otherwise provide through Traceraft, including profiles, traces, posts, drafts, editor content, images, version history, and other materials.
By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant Traceraft a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You must ensure that your User Content does not violate applicable law, infringe the rights of others, disclose confidential information, or contain harmful, abusive, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate material.
4. Public Content
Traceraft is designed to help users build public proof-of-work profiles. Certain information and content may be publicly visible, including your username, display name, bio, profile links, avatar, public traces, public posts, and other content you choose to publish.
You should not publish passwords, API keys, access tokens, private credentials, confidential business information, sensitive personal information, or any information that you do not want to make public.
We are not responsible for how third parties may view, copy, store, share, or otherwise use content that you choose to make public.
5. Paid Plans and Subscriptions
Traceraft may offer paid plans or subscription-based features. Paid features, prices, billing cycles, renewal conditions, and plan limits will be shown on the pricing page, checkout page, or subscription confirmation screen.
By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize our payment provider to charge the applicable fees, taxes, and any other charges shown at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
Paid features may be changed, added, limited, or discontinued over time. If a material change affects your active paid plan, we will provide notice where appropriate.
6. Billing and Payment Processing
Payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. We may store payment-related metadata, such as your plan type, subscription status, billing period, customer ID, and subscription ID, in order to provide paid features and manage your subscription.
We do not store full credit card numbers, card security codes, or complete payment credentials on our own servers. Payment information is processed by the payment provider according to its own terms and privacy policy.
You are responsible for maintaining valid payment information. If payment fails, access to paid features may be suspended, downgraded, or canceled after any applicable grace period.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription according to the cancellation method provided in the Service, account settings, customer portal, or support flow.
Unless otherwise stated, cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You may continue to access paid features until the end of the period already paid for.
After cancellation or downgrade, you may lose access to paid features, including version history creation, restore features, AI-assisted drafts, or other premium functionality.
Traceraft may retain certain data associated with paid features for a reasonable period after cancellation unless deletion is required by law or requested through an available deletion process. Access to premium-only data or features may require an active paid plan.
8. Refunds
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated by Traceraft, subscription fees are generally non-refundable.
We may consider refunds on a case-by-case basis for duplicate charges, billing errors, payment processing issues, or serious service-side failures that materially prevent use of paid features.
Any refund request must be submitted through the contact method provided by Traceraft. Approval of a refund in one case does not guarantee future refunds.
9. AI-Assisted Features
Traceraft may provide AI-assisted features, such as draft generation, rewriting, summarization, title suggestions, content improvement, or similar functions.
AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or unsuitable for your intended purpose. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and validating AI-generated content before publishing or relying on it.
You must not submit passwords, API keys, private credentials, confidential business information, highly sensitive personal information, or any content that you do not want processed by an external AI provider.
We may limit, suspend, or restrict AI-assisted features to prevent abuse, excessive usage, security risks, or violations of these Terms.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
- Post, upload, or distribute content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, exploitative, or otherwise harmful.
- Infringe or violate intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights of any person or organization.

- Reverse engineer, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, access control, rate limits, plan restrictions, or billing enforcement mechanisms.
- Abuse free plans, trials, promotions, referrals, payment flows, or support processes.
11. Service Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may perform maintenance, apply updates, change features, or restrict access when necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, or operational reasons.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, abused the Service, failed to pay applicable fees, or exposed Traceraft or other users to legal, security, or operational issues.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If account deletion is available, you may request deletion according to the process provided by Traceraft.
Certain provisions of these Terms will survive termination where necessary, including provisions related to ownership, licenses, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute handling.
13. Intellectual Property
Traceraft, including its software, interface, design, branding, logos, features, and related materials, is owned by Traceraft or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you any right to use Traceraft’s name, branding, logos, or other proprietary materials except as expressly permitted by us.
14. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we process information as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, database, storage, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, AI-assisted features, or other infrastructure.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies, and security practices. We are not responsible for third-party services except to the extent required by applicable law.
16. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an as is and as available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Traceraft disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.
We do not guarantee that content created, displayed, stored, or generated through the Service will be accurate, complete, safe, available, or suitable for your intended purpose.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Traceraft and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, data, content, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the Last updated date. If changes are significant, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
19. Governing Language
These Terms may be provided in multiple languages. If there is any inconsistency between versions, the English version will control unless otherwise required by applicable law.
